This blog article is for all Android users of FitSW. We have recently released a new Android update with usability improvements and bug fixes but we have received some reports of the app not opening. This can be quickly resolved if you clear the FitSW app cache & data and then retry. This will NOT clear any of you or your clients fitness data – it just cleans up the memory. We are very sorry for this issue! However, clearing cache of the FitSW Android app will fix it quickly. Clearing your cache for the Android app is simple and can be done in seconds. If you need help clearing cache & data, see below:
- Go to the Settings Menu
- Click on Apps
- Find the All tab (if your system doesn’t show you all apps by default)
- Choose FitSW
- Click the button Clear Cache. If you’re running Android 6.0 Marshmallow or newer on your device then you’ll need to click on Storage and then Clear Cache.
- To clear the app data instead of the cache, simply select Clear Data instead
